Explore esports betting at Bitsler!

Bet on all your favourite esports teams and tournaments at Bitsler, where great odds, bonuses and promotions await you.

What is esports betting?

The digital revolution of the early 2000s brought with it many unique advantages and opportunities, with video gamers seeing their hobby enhanced to all-new levels.

Affordable, reliable and fast internet connections meant that they could play against their friends and other participants online, with game franchises such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) and Dota capitalising on this new-found opportunity.

It wasn’t long before competitive video gaming was born, with official tournaments and prize money to play for – this was the dawn of esports.

Soon, events being streamed on YouTube and Twitch were racking up millions of live views, which unsurprisingly attracted the attention of sponsors and advertisers – big companies such as Mercedes-Benz, Budweiser and Coca-Cola have invested in teams or sponsored events.

With tournaments often independently organised, verified and governed, esports have developed integrity and trust, and is now treated as a professional sport. This surety, and the popularity of esports, saw more and more bettors develop an interest in wagering on the outcomes of games and competitions.

For the best part of a decade, esports betting has been catered for by sportsbooks. At Bitsler, we offer odds for all of the most popular esports games. We cover the action from tournaments all over the world, providing odds for betting markets beyond the standard ‘match winner’ option.

If you’re interested in esport betting, you’ll find no better place to embrace your hobby than right here at Bitsler. If you hold crypto and want to diversify your sports betting interests, the same rule applies!

Why is esports betting so popular?

To truly understand the popularity of esports betting, you first need to know just how many people tune into the biggest and best competitive gaming tournaments.

So, esport betting is popular and there is plenty of demand, which we are only too happy to facilitate here at Bitsler. We offer a wide range of esports games to bet on, and dozens of individual betting markets for each game, which should satisfy the requirements of most people with an interest in wagering on their favourite titles.

What’s more, our safe and reliable payments platform enables us to offer Bitcoin esports betting – read on to find out all of the other coins and currencies that we accept as deposit and withdrawal options.

Esport betting: what bets can you place?

There’s a stack of different esports betting markets that you can explore at Bitsler, with all of the games covered. These include:

  • Call of Duty
  • CS:GO
  • Dota 2
  • King of Glory
  • StarCraft
  • Valorant

All of the leading competitions and leagues are catered for. From the League of Legends World Championship to Dota 2’s The International, if it’s happening in esports, it’s highly likely that you’ll be able to find it right here at Bitsler.

Esport betting markets

As you may know, competitive gaming often revolves around ‘maps’ (a representation or a part of the game world). Each match will feature a given number of maps; the individual player or team that wins the most of these within set requirements (e.g., the first to three maps in a best-of-five contest) is declared the winner.

The Match Winner category is one of the most popular esport betting markets to wager on. As the name suggests, you are simply wagering on which player or team you think will win the game. How they do so, and how many maps their opponents win, is of no concern in this particular market.

If you want to take a deeper dive into the action, you’ll find a number of different bet types relating to the Maps markets. How many will there be? Will a player or team win one, two or more of the maps? Who will win the first, second, third map, etc.?

With crypto esports betting, you can also explore markets that will be familiar to those who bet on other sports – think handicaps, correct score and the like. We’ll look at these in more detail in the next section.

Esport betting bet types

As we’ve learned, Match Winner is the most popular esports betting market – this is often the bet type that both newcomers to esports wagering, and the more experienced, turn to first.

However, as mentioned, you can dig a little deeper and find odds to suit how you think a contest will pan out. Games such as CS:GO are based on the maps format described above, so there’s a selection of bet types relating to them. These include Map Winner, Total Rounds (the number of games played within a single map), Round Winner, and more – these bet types are available for every map played.

As far as the outcome of the match is concerned, you can bet in ways that go beyond simply predicting the winner. The Match Handicap lets you wager on a team with a + or - handicap, with these hypothetical numbers added or subtracted from the actual final score.

For example, let’s say that Astralis are -1.5 against Virtus.pro, who are +1.5 in a best-of-five contest. If Astralis win 3-1, then handicap wagers on them would also prevail – take the 1.5 from their score and the ‘new’ result would be 1.5-1 (or add Virtus.pro’s +1.5 and they still lose 3-2.5).

Alternatively, if the actual game ended 3-2 to Astralis, then -1.5 handicap bets on them would lose (the revised score would be 1.5-2). If you had wagered on Virtus.pro +1.5, you would have won (the hypothetical scoreline becoming 3-3.5).

In best-of-three, best-of-five contests and the like, if one of the players or teams wins consecutive maps, then we may not go ‘all the way’ – for example, if Astralis go 2-0 in a best of three, then the third map wouldn’t be played because Virtus.pro can’t catch them up.

These bet types are typically popular with the first-person shooter and strategy games such as CS:GO, Call of Duty, Valorant and Dota 2, whereas the sports-based games have a different selection of markets and bet types to try.

Crypto esports betting on Bitsler

More and more people are turning to crypto esports betting, and the reasons are clear for all to see.

You can make rapid deposits into your betting account using a wide variety of coins and currencies. Keep reading for a flavour of what we accept right here at Bitsler. These are, of course, completely secure and wholly anonymous.

The same can be said for withdrawals: these are processed quickly and, depending on the currency used, typically confirmed and completed swiftly. Again, these transactions are anonymous and paid directly into your crypto wallet.

The origins of Bitsler are in Bitcoin esports betting, which we’ve been involved in for the best part of the decade. However, as the tastes of crypto enthusiasts have changed in that time, so also has the suite of currencies and coins that we accept.

You can see a full list of our accepted currencies by scrolling to the bottom of our homepage, but for now, it’s worth knowing that we accept Ethereum, Litecoin, TRON, Ripple, Dogecoin, Binance Coin and Dash, to name just a few of the coins we welcome.

Regardless of which options you choose, you’ll be guaranteed secure and speedy deposits and withdrawals. Indeed, for the most part, deposits are completed almost instantly, so you can place your esports bets, have a sports wager, or play our huge range of casino games as soon as your account is up and running.

How to place your crypto esports bet on Bitsler

We’ve made it our mission to ensure that placing a bet at Bitsler is easy.

So, when you examine our crypto esports betting channel, you’ll notice that you can browse the selection of in-play markets – that is, those games and contests that are already underway and those that are starting soon.

Alternatively, you can use the handy search box to type in exactly what you are looking for, or you can peruse the ‘Popular’ category of the upcoming events and tournaments that our other customers are searching for. Of course, if you prefer, you can just browse our games to see which esports we currently have odds available for.

Once you have identified a target for your Bitcoin esports betting, you can then set about placing your first crypto esports wager. Select the event you want to bet on, browse through the array of markets available and, when you have found the odds, you want to wager on, simply click on them – this will add the selection to your betslip.

To place your bet, enter your stake in the box provided. When you have typed in the BTC (or other crypto) amount you wish to bet, you will see your estimated payout shown should your wager win. Double-check the amount and, once you’re happy, hit the ‘Place bet’ button to get in the game.

If you wish to place a parlay wager, simply repeat this process by clicking on two or more sets of odds to add the picks to your betslip. Click the ‘Parlay’ tab and then enter your stake in the box – you will notice that the odds have been multiplied together for what would be a higher return than placing individual bets.

We hope that you found this guide to esports betting useful. Getting started with crypto esports betting at Bitsler is a straight-forward process, and assistance is always at hand.
